My first Colourpop eyeshadows arrived a few weeks ago and I’m obsessed. They’re so pigmented and beautiful and smooth. I’m super obsessed.
They had a mini sale “Buy 4 pressed eyeshadows for $12.99, Get a free empty palette” so I figured that’d be a great way to introduce myself to their shadows. I now want all of their shadows!
Admittedly, I didn’t coordinate the colors. My plan wasn’t for them to be cohesive, really. I literally just picked colors I liked. No rhyme or reason to it.
I chose three matte shades and one satin shade. Left to right: Sandbar - a dreamy neon pink. Tiny Tangerines - beautiful teal. Issues - soft peachy-orange. I was surprised. I thought it was going to be a more sandy color. I am not disappointed by this discovery, though. Tiki - delicious Banana yellow.
The swatches shown were done dry, no primer or anything. Based on that, I’m very excited to work with these colors. They’re just so smooth and beautiful. The mattes can be a bit dusty, by that I mean you may get some fallout. The shadows are described on the Colourpop website as: “The powder eyeshadow of your dreams - super pigmented colour in a soft pearl finish, easily blendable, and velvety soft texture creates a soft focus effect that’s super long-wearing.”
I filmed an unboxing so if you want to see my initial reaction to them. Watch it, please? Thank you. [VIDEO HERE]
